Week 5 Term 4

This is a busy week for many of you.

The choir have their final practice at the Auckland Town Hall on Monday before their performance on Tuesday night.

The orchestra will practise on Wednesday instead of Monday.

Monday 8 November
Bigfoot are bringing their mountain bike course, mountain bikes and helmets in for all Year 6 children to participate in their programme.

Having viewed and shared the information from many of you last week relating to your Environmental big question we look forward to sharing and hearing the final presentations. Some great published work. Tell your parents about them.

Last week you were introduced to the narrative form of writing. We referred to some interesting examples. You have started to complete the graphic that helps you to plan the characters, setting, problem, sequence of events and resolution. The next step is to complete your plan and begin to write the first paragraph...

Over the last few weeks we have been recording the weekly totals in Mathletics scored by every individual. What a fantastic number of certificates room 28.

Athletics: we have practised high jump, long jump, softball throw, sprints and relays. Time now to pick our relay teams.

Did you tell people at home we had lots of tests last week. PAT, Gloss, IKAN and Probe as well as the unassisted recount. What a week! Lots of marking for the teachers too and now very focused report writing.

Reminder Year 5 - have you returned your patrol permission slip?
Are you starting to think about how you can work to raise money for your camp experience in 2011?
